The State Institute for Rural Development (SIRD), Bhubaneswar is the premier training
Institute under the aegis of Panchayati Raj Department, Government of Orissa. This
Institutes works as think tank of the State with regards to plans and programmes
of Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and various welfare programmes. It also develops
necessary training curriculum for the participants and develops training modules
for various training programmes undertaken in SIRD.
